Chesapeake Nature Press

The nature of the Chesapeake Watershed is a vast array of creatures large and small.

Over thousands of years, nature has made a home in this territory which covers more than 64,000 miles and includes the mighty Susquehanna and Potomac rivers, along with many smaller rivers and creeks.

The Susquehanna is the largest tributary contributing roughly half of the fresh water that enters the Chesapeake Bay. The Potomac River, which has suffered damage of late, is the main river of Washington, D.C. and is believed to be on the mend.
